When Denise Kruse joined AdamsGabbert as CEO in 2010, she knew the company needed a turnaround plan. The Overland Park-based consulting and recruiting/staffing firm had been “backsliding” for a couple of years and was losing revenue. Its previous president didn’t work out, and the company needed focus and someone who believed in its capabilities and saw what it could be, she said.
